Nestled along Georgesville Road in Columbus, GC Pho presents an authentic Vietnamese culinary experience that has quickly become a local favorite. Specializing in hearty, soul-soothing pho, this cozy restaurant brings the rich, aromatic flavors of Vietnam right to your table with a menu that dazzles both pho aficionados and newcomers alike.
The highlight at GC Pho is undoubtedly their Beef Brisket Pho, a fragrant bowl brimming with tender brisket, savory beef balls, and silky rice noodles, all swimming in a perfectly simmered, deeply satisfying broth. Regulars rave about the generous portions and the freshness of the herbs and green onions that crown this classic dish. But the menu offers so much more than just pho. The Shredded Chicken Sandwich Bánh Mì Gà is a delightful balance of textures and flavors — a lightly toasted baguette layered with Vietnamese mayo, crisp pickled carrots, cooling cucumber, and a subtle hint of chili that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
For those craving variety, the Combination Vermicelli Noodle Bowls, featuring char-grilled pork and crispy fried egg rolls, serve up a perfect medley of savory and fresh with crunchy peanuts and tangy pickled veggies adding exciting contrasts in every bite. Appetizers like the Vietnamese Spring Rolls (Gỏi Cuốn) wrapped in translucent rice paper and served with a luscious peanut sauce are refreshingly light yet satisfyingly rich. The Banh Xeo’s golden, crispy crepes filled with savory goodness provide a delightful textural experience, while the Chicken Fried Rice and Char-Grilled Beef Rice Plates are beloved comfort dishes that warm and satisfy deeply.
Diners often comment on the intimate and unpretentious atmosphere of GC Pho, describing it as a hidden gem where every dish is crafted with care. The small, inviting space radiates warmth and friendliness, making it an ideal spot for both a casual meal and a quiet culinary adventure. Every spoonful resonates with authenticity, and you can tell the chefs honor traditional recipes while delivering consistently impressive results.
Anthony O’Connell from 614feast praises the quality of the pho, noting the generous amounts of tender meat and the depth of the broth, which bursts with freshness from carefully selected toppings. Customer Aston paints a vivid picture of value and flavor, highlighting how the pork bowl, priced at just $13, delivers remarkable taste and satisfaction. Meanwhile, Duy Yin’s visit from out of town showcases GC Pho’s ability to impress novices and keep loyal customers coming back, with mentions of the perfectly balanced beef soup and the pleasantly textured bánh mì.
In short, GC Pho isn’t just a place to eat — it’s an invitation to savor the vibrant flavors and heartfelt preparations of Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you're craving the steaming, aromatic pho or a zesty bánh mì, this community gem offers a genuine culinary journey that delights the senses and nourishes the soul.
This little hole in the wall has the best pho and noodle bowls I've had in Columbus. Prices are very good for the portions you get. The pork bowl pictured is only $13 and delicious. The Bo Kho is amazing if you are not a noodle or rice person.
Top tier restaurant! Great pho with generous amount of meat, delicious broth, and fresh toppings. The banh mi was delicious as well, I would’ve liked pate on the one I ordered but still so good.
Phenomenal spot. Best beef pho and best shrimp fried rice in Columbus, easily. Their specialty dishes are made with care and attention, and just about everything is homemade. You can't go wrong. It's a pleasure supporting such a top-tier spot. Disregard Cliff's review. He's clearly unfamiliar with what he ordered, and complaining about the egg rolls going to the wrong table was a really low blow. The average Chinese restaurant sells premade, frozen egg rolls for $2.65 a pop, so how is it fair to criticize them for offering two good sized, delicious homemade egg rolls for $5? The folks here work hard and you can taste the fruit of their efforts.
Visiting from out of town and I am so glad that I found this pho place. The beef soup is savory—overall a nice blend of beef balls, flank, and brisket with rice noodles and green onions. The banh mi was also pleasantly balanced with a lightly toasted baguette, Vietnamese ham, house butter, pate and fresh veggies. For a small restaurant, I would definitely come back again.
Small dine in area but was able to walk in and sit down. Ordered spring rolls with a delicious peanut sauce. Crispy rolls were great as well. Got the chicken fried rice, chicken pho and brisket pho. Not the traditional smoked brisket but was just as delicious. Got the porl banh mi to go and was not able to save it for dinner it was so delicious
I didn’t take a before picture because I dove right into it. This Pho location is amazing. I’m from Chicago and currently visiting family’s in Columbus and I was craving Pho and man this location did not disappoint!!!! I can honestly say this is my favorite location for Pho. Whenever I come to Ohio this will be my go to spot moving forward. I tried the #5 dish and the amount of meat and noodle ratio is perfect!!
GC Pho is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Columbus. Every time I eat here, the flavors are rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. Their pho broth is incredibly deep and flavorful—perfectly balanced, not too salty, and packed with tender brisket and rice noodles. I also love their grilled pork banh mi, which comes with crunchy bread, pickled veggies, and fresh herbs. The spring rolls are always fresh, and their peanut sauce is on point. The service is fast and friendly, and the restaurant is super clean and cozy. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, GC Pho delivers every time. It’s my go-to spot when I’m craving something warm, fresh, and satisfying. Highly recommend if you love Vietnamese food or want to try it for the first time, you won’t be disappointed!
